Question: how often does the oil need changing on the prius?

Curious since I found out that Honda oil change is $20 more expensive than a regular gas vehicle.

Between 5000 and 7500 miles.

I agree that 5,000 to 7,500 miles is fine for normal driving conditions. I've been using Castrol 5-30 and have now 88,000 miles on my 2007 Prius without any problems. I also use the Pureolater Pure 1 oil filter.
